Avalon Expedition



Intro:
If you are reading this you have been selected to be part of the expedition to Avalon, a planet orbiting a black hole over 5 billion light years away in what we have dubbed the Scorpius Galaxy. This will be a one way trip until further notice but communication between Avalon and the Milky way will still be possible via the use of Quantum entanglement technology that we acquired a year ago during a mission to M81.



The artifact
The artifact was discovered 23 years ago on the outskirts of the Milky way Galaxy on a barren moon called M3X-399, it appeared to be an ancient transportation device. Its power requirements surpassed anything we could generate so it was left dormant until a few months ago when we captured a Vendalah expansion module which was enough to power the transporter.



Avalon
We quickly sent through a probe to discover a habitable world at the teleporter's destination, and using images of the night sky we were able to determine the location of Avalon. Avalon is a world teeming with life most resembling life from Earth; however there are also unfamiliar creatures and creatures that seem to come straight out of legend. There is also a native race of humans on Avalon called the Arosians which are a subspecies of homo sapien, as well as many other sapient species native to the world.



Your mission
Your mission is to establish infrastructure and civilization on Avalon, unfortunately the Vendalah power source we use to activate the artifact will only work a maximum of 10 times so you cannot rely on resources shipped in from the milky way. You along with the rest of the expedition participants will need to start manufacturing technology and infrastructure from the materials already present on Avalon. The Natives have already shown resistance to our colonization efforts. If a peaceful solution fails, use any means necessary to complete the mission. This may be a way to gain a foothold in a new galaxy rich in natural resources. Avalon will be your home for the foreseeable future until we find a way to make 2 way travel possible.

Rules


1. don't be a bigot

2. don't grief

3. don't steal unless an RP war is declared

4. there are 2 main kinds of characters 1. colonists from the milky way and 2. natives to Avalon if you want another kind of character dm the leader and make a case for your character

5. the leader of the server is voted for by the members, if you don't like how the server is being run you will have a chance to run for the leader or vote for a leader, if no one votes the leader defaults back to me until the next election

6. The leader can't retcon past lore but they can decide the rules of future lore, an example would be they can choose which characters to approve going forward but they cant retroactively remove characters approved by previous leaders

7. an election will be run every 3 months

8. the leader can't declare themself as an eternal dictator they are required to hold the election (the leader doesn't have the permission to change this rule)

9. the mods are chosen by the leader, the leader is capable of making someone a mod or demoting a mod to a member


you can play as humans or aliens or anything your heart desires as long as it fits into the lore, and yes we have Figura and Armourers Workshop as well as heaps of other mods adding very interesting things that can be done.
