Hello everyone! Memelands is a 1.20.2 SMP with a close-knit and driven community looking for active long term players over the age of 15. We have been playing on the current map since 2019, so there are loads of unique builds and history to discover! And we will never reset the map, so everything you build on the server will stay there forever and you don't have to worry about a "new season" wiping your progress. We have players from multiple time zones all over the world, ensuring that the server stays active around the clock. There are events on the server every so often, ranging from jeopardy nights to build contests and sporting activities such as the Memelands olympics. These events are usually held at a time where the most players are able to join in. We are looking for creative individuals who will want to contribute to our server and be a part of a great community and, most importantly, have fun. The type of player who stops playing on worlds when "everything has been completed" is the complete opposite of what we are looking for. The server is completely vanilla with the exception of a few essential datapacks (such as 1-player sleep) and protective plugins (we use CoreProtect to detect thieves and griefers). The server is largely owned and run by the community. Financing is done through a yearly donation box and votes are held when important decisions about the server are to be made. We have a website where blog posts about the server can be submitted and we also have a Dynmap page where the map (Google Earth-esque) can be viewed live! Currently, we are only using plugins that enhance your experience, chat managers and a rank system for example, as well as tools for maintaining and administrating. We have recreated many features offered through plugins within vanilla Minecraft, such as jailing and banking systems. Currency System On our server, Emeralds are the standard for trading. In the spawn village you will find a number of Villagers to trade with, each with a specialized selection of items to choose from. Emeralds can be acquired naturally, by mining or by trading with Villagers encountered throughout the world, or they can be received by trading with the Villagers working in the Emerald Exchange building which can be found within the spawn village. Nether & End Our Nether and End worlds are reset regularly to assure that all players have a chance to collect resources. The End Dragon can be respawned on demand at any time, and does not depend on the world to be reset. Protection Once you have built a home or other creation, you can request that an administrator or moderator protects your build, at no cost to you. If you would like the region of protection to be modified or expanded at a later time, you may make another request. However, from the second time and onward, you will be charged a number of Emeralds determined by the magnitude of the expansion or modification you have requested. We believe that Minecraft can be a political game as well as a creative and PvP game, and our server is intended to lean into that. The Lava Origins SMP is a new server that I want to invite you to. Stay alive to finish all of the quests. If you die in this server, you lose a heart, if you decide to kill another player ..shame! then you will gain a heart. If you lose all of your hearts you will become a spectator, however, you may be revived if another player crafts a totem of resurrection. Spawn killing, harassment, any un-chill nature will land you in jail. You should not enter any bases or homes closed off with walls & doors. We have some quality of life plugins, and some dungeons are randomly generated so there is plenty to explore.
