It has been scarcely a decade since the Freeze started. Manifesting first in the north as an ever-southward-creeping cold, it ravaged the continent that spans most of the world, leaving the unquiet dead in its wake. As all seemed lost, a council of mages made a startling discovery:

Three islands, far far off the coast. Perhaps the only ones of their kind. A chance to start anew, and maybe find a way reverse the effects of this world-ending calamity.
